Thank you for allowing me to be of service. After 38 years as a veterinarian and 34 years at the Veterinary Dermatology Center of Maryland I will be retiring in April 2022 when the lease for my office space expires. In mid-2020 my building (and the Emergency Veterinary Clinic next door) was purchased by a corporation called PathwayVets, and I suspect they have plans for my office space. Another dermatologist could possibly take over my practice, but this is not certain. With my retirement and if there's not another dermatologist to take over the practice it's possible that the Veterinary Dermatology Center will close in 2022. This has been a difficult decision, but it seems the right time for me to retire.
