Newman DR Alexander

Dr.Newman is wonderful! We have been going to him for the past 2 years and he is always super nice and professional. His nurse Ann is also great.

I've been a patient with Alexander Newman for over 15 years and I will NEVER go back.



During my last two visits, I was welcomed back within 15-20 minutes to see doctor Newman; however, I waited in another room for over an HOUR on both occasions before seeing him.



Appointment #1- I went to have skin tags removed with liquid nitrogen (2). After being in the office for more 2 hours, he finally used liquid nitrogen, burning my skin to attempt to remove them. It was extremely painful and damaged my skin. The skin tags didn't fall off and I called to complain. He insisted that I make another appointment 2 weeks from then. I had a vacation coming up so I removed them myself with a knife (yes, this was less painful). Anyhow, after billing my insurance, I was charged $96 for this.



Visit 2- I discovered I had an inguinal hernia(genetics, webmd). I called and they insisted that I come in for confirmation. Once again, I waited nearly 2 hours before seeing doctor Newman. After seeing him, he confirmed that I was correct about the inguinal hernia and wasn't able to answer any questions I had about it. He just referred me to one of his friends and told me to make an appointment with them. I was charged $150 for this visit, after insurance!! Why would I be charged this outrageous amount when nothing was done?



Upset with the bills I received, I called 2 times during office hours and no one ever picked up. I even left a message asking for them to return my phone call; however, I never received any call.



Two days later, I called myself and tried to argue about the bill. The receptionist clearly didn't understand why I was unhappy and told me to go see another doctor if I had a problem with it.
