Very disappointed with the service I received. I was out of town through most of the process, yet NEVER ONCE put in contact with Tom through phone or email. I work abroad and my returns and money are in another language and currency. I received ZERO clarifying questions. I had to initiate all communication with their secretaries, receiving zero confirmation of received documents or explanation on my returns. They simply took my info, then sent a bill saying I owed a similar cost to last year.... They took my old tax return and copied and pasted. I shouldn't even claim taxes in California and they didn't consider asking why I was choosing to do this. I complained about the service and my expectations, explaining that I had received better service for less money in previous years, the told me their price was competitive, and recommended I go back to my previous preparer.... This was the most impersonal, lackluster, and cold service I've ever seen. They demonstrated zero interest in me.

Tom has prepared our tax returns for several years. He is available throughout the year if we have questions. He even offered to look at my grandsons' tax situations at no charge a couple of years ago.

My husband and I were really pleased with the service we got here and for such a reasonable price. After doing our taxes and owing thousands, we decided to get a second opinion with Mr. Balarsky. So glad we did! We ended up getting a refund!!
