Medical Weight Loss
Patients who have mild skin looseness which may exist after pregnancy, weight gain with subsequent weight loss, and congenital protuberance of the lower abdominal area are good candidates for mini tummy tuck surgery.
Primary Care
Best candidates for liposuction are patients who are otherwise healthy and have well controlled medical conditions who do not have sigificant contraindications to major surgery. Patients who require blood thinners (aspirin, Plavix, warfarin), have serious heart conditions, uncontrolled diabetes, and morbid obestiy are not candidates for liposuction procedures. If you are uncertain about a medical condition you have and you are considering liposuction, consult your primary care physician, internist, or specialist prior to consulation.

Fat deposits are emulsified (liquified) by a variety of techiques with modern liposuction procedures. The addition of light energy ( laser liposuction or smart lipo ) or sound energy ( ultrasound assisted liposuction ) or mechanical disruption through pre tunneling are all means of acheiving fat liquification during the liposuction procedure. This is the intermediate step where addtional techniques for liposuction have been introduced over the last two decades.
Radiation Therapy
Earlobe Keloid Removal: Earlobe keloids can be treated with a combination of steroid injections, surgical removal of the keloid, and compression earrings. Depending on the size of the keloid, treatment may commence with steroid (Kenalog) injections. The earlobe or ear keloid can be excised surgically and steroid injections are usually performed along with the keloid excision. Compression earrings should be worn for a period of 6 months to help prevent recurrence. If Ear keloids recurr after excision and steroid injections, Radiation therapy may be required after re excision of the keloid scar.

Breast Reduction
Breast Reduction surgery, also known as Reduction Mammaplasty is is a plastic surgical procedure performed to help treat symptomatic breast hypertrophy (large breast size). It is also has cosmetic value in that the appearance of the breast is generally improved by lifting of the nipple areola, change in breast shape, and reduction in breast size.
Breast Lift
Breast Lift surgery or Mastopexy is a plastic surgical procedure which lifts the volume of the breast up onto the chest and centers the nipple areolar complex in the breast volume.
Rhinoplasty
Improvement in the appearance of the nose can be achieved through this procedure. Depending on the individual's anatomy and goals, either an open incision approach or a closed approach may be used. The open rhinoplasty technique involves incisions on the central skin bridge (the columella) between the nostrils. Incisions inside the nostril skin are also made. The open rhinoplasty technique is indicated when significant work on the nasal tip is indicated. The closed rhinoplasty technique involves incisions made within the nose. Often, nasal breathing problems are addressed at the same time as rhinoplasty.

Breast Surgery
Otoplasty
Ear Pinning Surgery: Prominent ears may be treated by surgical means. An incision is made behind the ear and the cartilage of the ear is scored and permanent stitches are placed in the cartilage which acts to decrease the projection of the ears. The procedure may be done under local anesthesia with IV sedation or under general anesthesia. No overnight hospital stay is required. A head dressing is worn for one week after surgery and then a head band may be worn for up to 6 weeks after surgery. Children with prominent ears may undergo otoplasty surgery once the ear has grown to its maximum size which occurs by age 8. Adults may also elect to have Otoplasty for prominent ears. The surgery has a minimum amount of discomfort.
Lip Augmentation
Eyelid surgery can be performed with other plastic surgical procedures including brow lift (open or endoscopic), fat transfer (fat injections), facelift, facial liposuction and lip augmentation.

Whether the weight loss has occurred through diet and exercise or through bariatric surgery, the accomplishment of losing a large amount of weight is a benefit for overall health and well being. Unfortunately, many successful weight loss patients develop loose skin that itself can be burdensome and disheartening in spite of the goal of losing a large amount of weight has been reached.
Chin Augmentation
Calcium hydroxylapatite (Radiesse®)—is made from the substance of bone matrix. It works as a dermal filler by promoting collagen matrix formation beneath the skin…but its result is immediate and long lasting. Of all the commercially available injectable dermal fillers, Radiesse® lasts the longest. Radiesse® can last for a year although it is not permanent. It produces substantial volume per injection for improvement… It is comparable to autologous (your own) fat injection in the volumetric results obtained. Radiesse® is best used for deep facial folds such as the nasolabial folds, and marionette lines around the mouth and many other areas of the face with the exception of the lips. Its benefit over fat transfer is that it is administered with a pre filled syringe, while fat injections require harvesting of fat from a donor site on the body (e.g. hip, abdomen) and thus takes less time to receive and to recover (bruising and swelling are minimal). Radiesse® can also be used for nasal contouring, chin augmentation, refinement after rhinoplasty surgery and hand rejuvenation.
