Salon 101

I saw Amanda today and she was awesome. She did an excellent job with my extremely straight hair. Everything about this shop is great. I highly recommend it.

Unhappy with their professionalism. We used Salon 101 for our wedding which included hair, make up, and spray tan. First up was the spray tan, which was a big difference from my experiences here in richmond, va. The room was not well ventilated and in a tight space, blotching did happen on my hands and fingers. We asked that day to have my mother's nails done and they informed us that they did not do nails, even though it was on their website and sign outside. Then the day of my wedding they were 45 min late, which pushed us back to not be able to complete any before pictures, my flower girls hair was stringy and i personally redid it-she had not even been out of the house yet. My mother can be difficult, and was not happy with her hair-we wanted down with curls, or partial up with curls but they were very adiment to have her in an updo with all these braids-she looked like helga. My grandmother asked them to redo it in a partial with curls, cindy refused and my mother and her were in a heated argument. I demanded a curling iron and my wedding planner curled her hair thankfully, with minutes before we left to go to the ceremony. My mother was unable to help me in my dress or have pictures with new getting ready. My hair was is curls which looked beautiful until she began to comb out my curls, it was ok but not what i wanted it to look like. Lastly was the make up we were never informed to bring out own foundation, which is weird anyway, never had that request. before. My makeup was ok, but nothing to write home about, it looked liked what i do at my house everyday. Then when the wedding was over my mother was up until 330pm cleaning the hairspray and product off of our tables and furniture. Very unhappy. Not good quality.
