Our family had a very bad experience with this company. Owner of this company performed an appraisal on the home we are trying to purchase and based everything on 4 bedroom home and the one we were purchasing is a 3 bedroom home. We (the buyers) found the error and called the lender to report it. Jodi McKinley returned and re-did the appraisal and came up with same value on home as she had originally. This time she compared it to 3 homes all listing values less than the one we are purchasing. So how did she come up with the same value? Either way it is evident in reviewing her paperwork that she was off on the value of the home on her first appraisal on final one. Any way that you look at it she did a very bad job and was not willing to admit she was off on the value of the home on the first appraisal so just wrote down a lot of nonsense on the paperwork on the second one and did not even try to justify information. The appraisal process is a very big deal to everyone involved and too important to leave in the hands of incompetent appraisers who have the last say and can't easily be challenged! They know this and have no consequences so we are all at their mercy. I would think twice (and be VERY concerned) if you or your lender are looking at using this company.
