Costello's Ace Hardware

This small store has quite the selection. I was impressed by the array of items I was able to find and the store is kept immaculate. As others have indicated, the prices on some items are slightly higher than others, but this is to be expected when comparing to other high volume distributors. Additionally, this store is much closer than the big box so I save time and money but running her for smaller/quick purchases.

High prices and clueless staff

Visited yesterday and all the employees were so friendly and helpful! The store was very well stocked and spotless. They had some things I've been looking for, for ages! Found things we couldn't even in Home Depot. Highly recommend stopping in.

Terrible service! Employees have no idea what they're talking about and aren't the least but concerned about getting you what you need! I'll never return!

Went there for a single pole lighted switch. Employees had hard time finding it but did come up with a heavy duty one. Went to pay for it and told it was $19.00 plus change at register, That's when I said you have to be kidding. No that's the price employee said. My answer was they can keep it.

Left the store and headed to home depot five minutes away, found exact same switch there and was $13.10 with the 10% military discount they give people that did military service,

They also had the non heavy duty one which we all have in our homes. Bought that one total with tax was $4.13.

END RESULT I SAVED $15.00 and I do not think I will ever be shopping in that store again unless I am very desperate.

Could also be same reason previous owner closed store at least two years before.
