I recently took my cat in for a surgical procedure. Other than the prices being cheaper than most vets, I will NEVER take my pets back to this clinic. My cat is in good condition, however, the vet gave me no post-surgery instructions. When I picked up my cat, i asked him several questions about what to watch for or expect during healing...he barely answered me and treated me as if i were stupid. His front desk assistant is nice though. I was given no receipts upon drop off or pick up of my pet, no receipt of payment....nothing! He did not request that I come in for a followup post-surgical check up, didn't even so much as offer me the courtesy to call back in if i felt there were any problems or warnings. I do not recommend this vet to anyone, regardless of the cheaper prices. you get the service you pay for in my opinion. Had i known it was to be like this, i would have went elsewhere to treat my pet.

We took our dog in for weight loss and trouble with his back legs. We were told he had hip displacement and needed blood work for the weight loss. He then gave him a shot and meds. Told us nothing about them or what they were for. Also drew blood and told us to come back in a week. We came back and he had no idea what the case was on our dog. Then the labs said low thyroid so he treated him for that. I called back because nothing was changing he said to bring him back in. I did and he again gave him meds without discussing anything. Then drew blood without telling me anything. When I called back for results they said everything looks good. I asked what is wrong with my dog? I was told yet again we need to do more blood work!!! So my dog collapsed at night we took him to the ER and it took them a matter of minutes to figure out what was wrong with him. He had cancer mass on his back. That is what was causing his problems walking. My dog died the next day!! This doctor should be shut down! He does not have good bedside manners as well. Please take your dog somewhere else if there is a problem!!

My 11 year old Boxer, Ray, has a condition that causes his spine to seize. Dr martin and his staff have been treating Ray like one of their own since I adopted him from the Boxer Rescue two years ago. The staff is patient and wonderful and they truly seem to care about their patients. Since I travel extensively for my job, Ray will only be boarded at Dr. Martins office since I know they will take great care of him. Dr. Martin is what a VET used to be. patient, kind and caring... great vet, great staff and great people !!!!!

My family has taken our pets to Dr Martin for years and he's always done a great job. The office decor isn't fancy. Prices very reasonable. The staff truly loves animals and I would trust them with any of my pets.

I've used Dr. Martin for years. I've not had a problem with him ever. He's always listened to what I had to say, and his staff has been with him for years, too. That should say something about Dr. Martin. He is a good vet.

This "vet" should lose his license!! I brought my senior dog in with an upset stomache. He gave him a shot and told me to bring him back the next day. I did and he wasn't any better. He gave him another shot and told me to bring him back again. I did and told him he wasn't much better. I tried to stress to him that his stomache felt hard to me and he didn't even check him. The girl said, "well do you want to give him his shots?" i said, "only if the doctor thinks he's well enough". without a word, the vet walked over and gave him his yearly shots...a few hours after being home, my poor boy couldn't even walk. i had to hand feed him. i took him to another vet the next day and he was diagnosised with stomache CANCER! needless to say, my dog died that day! The shots had sent him over the edge! This vet should be shut down! He does not have bedside manners. He doesn't tell you what he is giving your dog until it's over and the rest of the staff are uncaring and rude! I know two other people that took their dogs to this idiot and one had a broken back when this doctor said he took xrays and said it had a broken pelvis! This dog suffered months of pain from lack of knowledge and being misdiagnosised. Another friend had their dog treated with this "vet" for an eye injuring. The eye was buldging and should have been sewn shut to heal. the doctor told her it wasn't necessary. kept giving her dog a shot and telling her to come back for 8 days straight, charging her every time. after the 8th day, she took her dog to another vet who said the dogs eye should have been sewn shut to heal....now the dog is blind!!! I have heard other stories of BAD BAD CARE!!!! BEWARE!!!! STAY AWAY!!!

Terrible!

My husband is in the Air Force, and is on a temporary duty. My daughter, two dogs, and I came to Cabot to stay with my parents for a few weeks. During that time, my dogs needed just one vaccination each. Even though they didn't ask for the dogs' shot records, I told them exactly what they needed. I even emphasized that they didn't need the rabies shot, because they had it in November in Mississippi. After the vet gave the dogs their shots, I said, "so we just go up front now?" and he said, "yes, she'll get your some rabies tags." Surprised, I asked if he gave them rabies shots? I told him again they weren't supposed to have them. He said, "Oh, well, uh, we'll just mark it off." Of course, the dogs had already been given the vaccination again. He said that they shouldn't have any reaction because of it. Either way, I feel that it leaves no room for me to trust him with my animals again. In my opinion, it's just unacceptable, whether I have to pay for it or not.

I've taken both of my animals to this clinic. I've been a client for more than two years and have always been completely satisfied. The staff is patient and understanding. Most of all, they seem to really care about my animals. I wouldn't see another vet.
