My fiance and I love this place. The food is very good and plentiful, the service is top notch and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. They are also adding additional seating and they NEED it as it is popular. It has won several awards for cheap eats and it is well deserved. I am very familiar with Cuban food and they hit the mark nicely. We always try something different each time we go and have not been disappointed.

I've been to Cuba de Ayer a few times now, and I absolutely love it! It doesn't look like much from the outside, in fact I'll even go so far as to say it looks a bit like a "hole in the wall" but those are usually the best places. You have to know exactly where's you're going or you can miss it. Keep an eye out for the sign on the street, the little shopping center where it's at has some other shops and the entrance is one way so you have to go around the other side to leave. Parking lot isnt' big, but I've never had trouble finding a space. Inside it's really nice, clean and nicely decorated, spacious. The wait staff is nice and helpful. I've been there once with a big party and our waitress didn't give us trouble with our crazy ordering and splitting checks. And the food is sooo good. I love their Ropa Vieja. Off the chain. And the portions are pretty big too, unless I'm super hungry I can't finish it. The wait time for food is a little longer than I would like, but maybe that's because the times I've gone I'm starving so it feels extra long and it probably isn't longer than any other place. I highly recommend this place.
