I sent my Antares saddle to Iselltack about 2 years ago. It was an odd size, so it didn't sell quickly, which was understandable. In Sept 2016 I asked if I should have it shipped back, which Sylvia (the assistant) replied to with a link to pay for shipping through Amazon. I paid on Sept 16, 2016. In Oct had not received any info or tracking for the saddle so I emailed them again. Sylvia responded to let me know that the saddle had actually sold and that they would send a check Nov 15th (they cut checks on the 15th of each month). I reminded them that I had paid for shipping that needed to be refunded.
On Nov 21st I followed up to confirm a check had been sent and that my shipping would be refunded. Sylvia responded to let me know that she would check with Rachel (the owner) and get back to me. I didn't hear back, so I followed up on Nov 28th; Sylvia responded the same day to let me know Rachel was out of town and she would get back to me. I never heard back and followed up again on Dec 1 and was told Rachel would phone me. She didn't. I followed up again on Dec 6th and was once again told by Sylvia that Rachel would get back to me. On Dec 8th I tried to phone Rachel, who was away on vacation, I followed up through email again and was told by Sylvia that she would call me Dec 9th in the morning. She did not, instead she called me in the evening while I was out for a birthday dinner. Rachel finally sent me a text saying she would look into the issue the following week, she then emailed me December 13th to let me know I would receive the money but that they would be sending a good faith payment of $250 first. I was quite confused, my saddle sold, so why I would receive a good faith payment first. I did not accept this. I have since followed up on Dec 19, 26, and 27 and receive the same "Rachel will get back to you" response each time. I had to file a claim through Amazon to be refunded for my shipping. They have great reviews but be wary of this consignment store.
