terrific experience

purchased 2009 Honda Accord EX-L from Plaza Honda on 02/16/2009. It was one of the most enjoyable experiences that I have had when purchasing a new car.The sales associate, David Petri, was patient and provided me with all the details I needed and was a pleasure to work with. He quickly located the EX-L and the exact color I wanted. Considering other Honda dealerships that I contacted lied to get me to visit their dealerships hoping to change my mind on the model i wanted and the color. David Petri did not pressure me and told me to take my time when deciding. He even encouraged me not to rush into the purchase until i felt confident. Dave Petri wanted me to call other dealerships before i purchasing from Plaza Honda. Taking the advice of Mr. Petri's, I decided to think it over and call other dealerships once more so i could compare prices and not one came close to what Plaza Honda offered. The next day, feeling confident after doing more research, I went back to Plaza Honda to purchase the 2009 Honda Accord EX-L. The whole process took about an hour and I even opened a Plaza Auto Mall credit card so I could upgrade on accessories that i wanted but didn't want to add to my final loan. David Petri explained that by opening a Plaza Auto Mall Credit Card, I would have 6 months to pay off the amount without having to pay interest on the total amount of the car loan, which brought my monthly payments down a great deal. It has been close to six months since my purchase and I have paid my Plaza Auto Mall Credit Card off completed without interest as promised and now realizing that was the best decision i could have made. Plaza Honda changed my entire outlook on shopping for a new car. I have recommended Plaza Honda to a couple of relatives and to a dear close friend and all three purchased a car without a problem. Thank You, Plaza Honda, for treating my family and friend like a valued customer.

I just recently used my Plaza Auto Mall Credit Card to purchase rims for my son's birthday. Also, my husband was finally able to get some much needed maintenance on his car without having to pay with cash.

Overall, my experience purchasing a car from Plaza Toyota was afwul. The staff was not knowledgeable, made many mistakes, and worst of all, were extremely rude. In a conversation with the Sales Manger, Aladdin Ibrahim, over the phone I said, "Toyota is a major company, how can your customer service be like this?" To which he replied, "We sell a million cars a year, we don't care if one customer isn't happy."



My Experience:

After agreeing to purchase a new Toyota, I told the salesman to call me in when the car and the paperwork were ready. I left to get a check and documentation. I was called back in. Nothing was ready. I waited almost 3 hours and filled out a few forms but no car was ready. I left and told the salesman to call me back when the car was ready. I was called back. When I arrived, no car was ready. I waited nearly 2 hours to get my car. While the salesman was explaining to me the features as I was taking the car off the lot, it was clear he knew very little about the product.



The following week I received a check for the trade-in value of my car. The check was in the incorrect amount. I came to the dealership to speak to the Sales Manager, Aladdin Ibrahim, to tell him how my experience could have gone better and to correct the issue with the check. From the start, Aladdin was very rude and aggressive. He started making accusations because I didn't bring the check they sent me (even though they confirmed their mistake on their computer during the conversation). Our conversation ended with Aladdin literally shouting at me, "F*ck You, I'm not sending you your check at all now. Leave before I call security."



This is how I was treated after making a major purchase at this dealership. No person, let alone a customer, should be treated this way. I encourage everyone reading this to pass this along and not to do business here. Many of the reviews out there appear to have been written by Plaza Auto employees so beware.

The Service at Plaza Toyota was exceptional. i was especially pleased with the customer care provided by Andrew Beswick and Alonso Fernandez. they were both very professional and sensitive to my needs as a customer. I am very happy with my new Toyota Highlander and i will recommend their services to my friends and family in the future.

Pleasant and relaxed experience. Having been to other dealership were pressure is a "key selling point". Went for a tour, next day drove out in a new car. Ask for Eric, you won"t be disappointed. A bit tight on a trade in cost though, but that"s everywhere, I guess. Would recommend to a friend.

I purchased my car 02/2004 always brought back to Plaza for service. When my factory warranty ran out I had some trouble which I thought was the transmission and an electrical problem. My air bag light illuminated for no reason at all. Paid for the electrical problem $110 in Oct 2010. In Nov. 2010 the light returned and I returned to Plaza Auto Mall to be told that I also had a broken Upper Control Arm and my engine was misfiring. I paid $1285 for these repairs. I return in Jan 2011 again with the transmission trouble. I was told the Throttle Body Sensor was bad. I left Plaza Auto Mall and took my car to AAMCO Transnissions where it was confirmed that my transmission was slipping and needed repair. I took the car to another Dealer and they too told me my transmission was slipping in every gear. They also gave me a laundry list of car trouble that Plaza never mentioned. The representative told me my warranty was over however I found my original contract from the purchase of the car and I have an extended warranty that has yet to expire. The service I paid for in Nov 2010 was covered. They are either incompetent or crooks.

February 10, 2009 I bought a new car from Plaza Auto mall, 2721 Nostrand ave, Brooklyn, NY 11210 or 2740 Nostrand ave. - this is one business under one management

Karl- financial guy said: "Congratulation, you bought a new car for $ 16394

I signed a few papers and when I came home I found that on the first paper the price was $ 16 394

and on the next paper the price was $ 22170 after 10 % APR I had to pay $ 29935 !

The next morning I came back and Karl-financial guy said:"You signed it. Now you cannot change anything. It's a document."

I've been walking back and forth to the office for one month. I've been waiting for them hours and hours in the office for one person or another. Karl always hid from me in a different building. The manager Mike-tall bald guy with a look "iamsosickofyou" told me that he couldn't help me because he was a sales manager but not a financial manager. Almost every day I talked to him asking to review the paper and correct the mistakes they've made. And every time he said: " Please find some one who will explain you - this is not a mistake, this is10% APR you have to pay to a bank."

+$12,50 fee for the old tires

+$170 Gap insurance

+$2500 extended warranty / I never asked about it and never been told a word about this kind of service /

+$1400 - Road assistance / This amount was added without my permission /

Together with 10% APR I have to pay $29935 They added HALF OF THE PRICE

It took me 1 month to cancel this "Road assistance" / as soon as I didn't need it I had AAA for $48 a year /

Joanna Brathwait the secretary with the most disgusting arrogant smile said:" Don't expect you will get all the money, may be only some part of it. May be in a few weeks."

But I've never got the refund and I am still paying 10% APR

It took me 2 months to cancel extended warranty but I've paid 10% APR .

They added $650 - rebate TWICE ! Then they added down payment $1330. It is PLUS to the total amount.

Once I cried in front of two managers:"Please take this paper and check it." Nobody even moved. They didn't care !

They shared the money: Troy Esposito-sales person, Karl-financial Guy, Mike-manager and the boss of this nice "family" /I tried to make an appointment with him but the secretary always says he is away or busy. After I left a few messages with my name he never called me back./

Besides there was one more interesting detail that gives me the right to call this business "criminal business".

I bought a small Toyota Yaris -2 doors. Instead the document says that I bought 4 doors Toyota Yaris which is more expensive /about $22000.

You are smart enough to understand what is going on in this dealership. They buy a small car for $10000 / my guess, nobody knows the real price/

Then they sell it for the price of a big expensive car. A buyer has to pay to a bank till the rest of his life.

And car dealership shares this extra money. They don't even have to pay income tax because these are hidden charges nobody knows about and nobody can find it. Of course the extended warranty is total fake so is "Road membership".

Total amount that has been stolen from my pocket is $5942 And I am paying 10% APR to a bank.

Scam ! Fraud !

I brought my Nissan Altima there at the end of my lease and traded it in for a Honda Accord two months ago. They said they would take care of all the end of lease paperwork. Now Nissan is calling me asking me where the car is, and no one from Plaza Auto Mall will return my calls to give me an answer about where my car is.

unethical mechanics

I purchased a used car in May 2009 and had to return the car the following day because the battery was dead. The mechanics replaced the battery and in the process, put a dent in the car. When I went to pick up the car, the mechanics were standing by the car where the dent was, so I could not see it. I noticed the dent (front driver side by the wheel) in the car when I got home.



New car, 2 days old and the dealer damages it!

When I needed a car the most

After my car was totaled in an accident I needed to get a new car fast. My job requires it and I needed it to get my kids to school and their activities. I went to Plaza Auto Mall in Brooklyn and my expectations were exceeded. Not only did I purchase a brand new Acura TSX, but Jaime O'neil the BDC manager was great! I got the car to my specifications delivered to me within two days. Thank you Jaime.
