Oranta Day Spa

If you’re African American you might want to think twice before going to Oranta! I don’t know how this spa received good reviews. Today I went and got a Brazilian wax from Oranta spa. I bought a voucher from groupon last year and decided to use it. I arrived on time for my appointment. I was told to wait in the reception area until the room was set up. Once I entered the room, I undress from the bottom down and waited until the esthetician came into the room. From the moment the esthetician started waxing me she was complaining. She said I waited too long to get waxed and how AA hair is hard to wax due to the hair being curly. IMO no job should be too hard for an esthetician. Then she told me she wasn’t going to do a complete Brazilian b/c it would take too long and how I should come back another time. By then I was FURIOUS. She continues to complain about how I’m making her job hard for her and then says to me, waxing you is like having an abortion! YES that’s right an ABORTION! I had to ask her to repeat what she said because I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. Never had I ever been so disrespected in my life at a Spa. I’ve had several waxes before and none of them was as painful both physically and emotionally as this one. Clearly this owner is inexperienced working with African American customers. I will never step foot in that spa again and I will make it my business to let other know about their poor service.
