Shoreview Condos 430 16 St Brooklyn, NY 11215 Dear Sirs: I have lived at 34 Bay Ridge Ave, apartment #1B Brooklyn, NY for the past seven years. I am a retired disabled NYC firefighter, in a motorize wheelchair do to a stroke. I can't walk.I'm trying to have a curb cut installed in front of my building. I need a cut in the sidewalk in order to use the ACCESSARIDE service and to go to the Owl Head Park and community activities. I've written to the City Council, DOT and State Senator Golden, Boro President Markowitz, they all refer me back to you and to personally buy a portable ramp to use. I am writing about having a curb cut placed at the "T" intersection of Owl Head and Bay Ridge Ave. Presently, there are cars parked in front of the my building restricting exiting. I must either go 1,00 feet to the corner of Narrows Ave or 500 feet to the condo's driveway in order to gain access for transportation. Accessaride requires me to be in front of the building, even in bad weather to ride. There are several wheelchair bound residents in the complex that would benefit from a curb cut in the sidewalk at the "T" intersection. Is it possible to install a curb cut in front of the building?
