Overall
Huge portions/Warm atmosphere/Priced right

My wife and I were searching for a place for a Sweet 16th party and came across The Black Pearl Bar & Grill at 833 Union Street, Brooklyn, NY. What we discovered was this rich cozy Tuscany atmosphere with a long bar with a brick oven. We were warmly greeted by Maitre Damiano who made us feel at home. He suggested the arugula salad with walnuts and goats cheese which was delicable. On the table was a generous portion of focaccia with brushetta from their brick oven which I could not stop eating. Next was a very huge plate of lobster Bisque which I may add is one of my favorites. Next we tasted Lobster Ravioli in a cream sauce which was awesome. Followed was a huge zesty tangy crab cake over a bed of vegetables. As you can see I like to eat and have a passion for food. The wines are excellent as well as the beer on tap. Needless to say after this sumptuous meal and meeting with our Host Rob we did book the Sweet 16 party. This is an excellent place for dinners & parties. There are 2 parking lots, one a few doors down the other across the street. This indeed is the best kept secret in Brooklyn, but not for long.
