New King Buffet

One of the things I notice here is there is a awful lot of Idiot customers who think just b/c they pay they can abuse the staff & waste food - PARTICULARLY binge on the crab legs. Yeah, if you want to binge on crab legs, go to the WI (or south of hastings area) casino's and pay their upcharge so you can scarf & barf all the seafood you want - that's what all the local Asian families around here appear to do, so why do you think you're so much better than them? Plus, after the staff gets abused all day like by some of you idiots treating them worse than the Comcast IT call center techs, I hardly expect them to have much patience with you either - Be polite to them and maybe they won't think you're just committing another driveby scream fest at their expense!



Now, as for the food at King's, it's your standard Americanized Asian food that you have come to expect at a Chinese buffet. Since they have to cater to American taste buds, I suspect they have to purposely tone down everything (at least that's how I view every chinese buffets food as - tasting bland or at best, subtle) - b/c I've noticed that your typical customer generally don't like the strongly flavored or exotic tasting authentic Asian dishs. (As an anthropologist, I've watched the crowds long enough to spot a behavior pattern.) So going to King is pretty much like going to a Great Moon buffet or any of the other local Chinese buffets, and their food is as good. About the only difference between them is that King's is a little smaller in scale and they have a Mongolian stir fry area (if you're into that). But If your into the more strong or exotic stuff, then check out Ocean buffet that's further down the road which serves that, but be warned - you might not like Ocean buffet b/c they actually serve food with a more Asian bent there (and hence the place is usually hopping/crowded with entire Asian families).
