Senior Suites Health Care

My mother was in there two years ago. She was drugged up I suppose so the help doesn't have anymore responsibility other than updating their Facebook status. The response time for answering call lights is inexcusable. My mom waited one hour for help. She got tired of waiting and got out of bed, fell and hit her head. She was transported to SFH with a head injury. She never suffered from headaches before, but she has daily headaches to this day.

The therapists and social worker are on continuous power trips. If you disagree with them, they will threaten to call Adult CPS.

After we moved mom and got her off the 3 antidepressants, she perked up to her usual self, she is living on her own and never needed the modified diet the overlord SLP insisted she needed.

Two years later I'm still battling R in billing. She is the RUDEST person at this facility. She has lied to me the last few years about mom's bill. She must have gotten the position through nepotism.

Run, not walk away from Senior Suites. They don't answer the phone, so you have to go down there to talk with them. No real care takes place and they warehouse people for their convenience. After dinner they gather everyone in their wheelchairs, put them in front of a TV and put on a Western. During this time, people calling out for help are ignored while staff updates their social media.

We are pursuing legal action against Senior Suites. And the billing person whose name is R, you abominable attitude has been reported to Corporate (it's probable not the first time either).

This is the absolute worst place to use for physical rehab or long term care. They NEVER answer their phones and I received all sorts of excuses for lack of anyone answering their phones. My mother had fallen at night and they did not answer the phone for an update on her condition. The social worker wield the little power she has if you decide to move your loved one and if you want privacy regarding your loved one's new residence, she will threaten to call Adult Protective Services.

The speech pathologist was wrong on my mother's swallowing abilities. They said that she needed a mechanical soft diet, but when family visited, she received the same meal that family did, and it was NOT mechanical soft! Salad? On a mechanical soft diet? I tell you a lettuce salad is NOT mechanical soft.

The beautician is useless. My mom went down for a hair wash and she ended up cutting a huge section of my mother's hair out without telling her! She was left bald on the back of her head!



The rooms are terrible. The "A" bed, although it has the window, it has no privacy because the aides leave the door open and everyone gapes into the room as they walk by. The "B" bed, although it has privacy, it has no window and it's dark - a perfect recipe for depression for the geriatric population.



I really could go on about my mother's incarceration (she felt she was in jail the whole time) but I have limited space. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE TO SENIOR SUITES. Update on my mom: she is now in independent living, not assisted living or memory care as they insisted she needed. She's in independent living and has greatly improved.She's in a two room suite that has plenty of sunlight, she gets around on her own and is making so many friends. Nothing she was allowed to do at Senior Suites. Please, if you care for your loved one avoid Senior Suites at all costs.
