Gatesway Foundation is a nonprofit agency that provides residential and vocational options and support services for people with developmental disabilities. The agency was founded in 1963, and provides an array of residential services, such as developmental living centers, group homes, apartment buildings, and supported and assisted living and companion programs. It provides training in life, vocational and social skills, and other applications, such as assembling, collating, sorting, bagging, boxing, tagging, packaging, shrink wrapping, bundling, labeling and inserting. It also offers worker s compensation insurance coverage and handles time sheets, payroll records and cuts and distributes paychecks. It additionally provides sheltered workshops and vocational rehabilitation programs. It also operates a thrift store offering furniture, home d cor items, furnishings, clothing, jewelry and accessories. It also organizes various events an occasions, such as balloon festivals and golf tournaments. Headquartered in Broken Arrow, Okla., Gatesway Foundation provides services throughout eastern and central Oklahoma.
