Located in Bridgeport, Conn., Bassick High School is one of the leading high schools providing classes from kindergarten grades nine through 12. The school enrolls more than 1,200 students and is governed by Bridgeport School District. It offers a wide range of subjects in its curriculum, including English, math, science, history, social science, world languages, visual and performing arts, agriculture, vocational education, business, consumer science, physical education and elective options. Bassick High School is a member of the Coalition of Essential Schools, and also provides a variety of athletics, such as football, tennis, volleyball, golf, wrestling, basketball, soccer, and softball. It operates a cafeteria that offers breakfast and lunch services to the students. The school offers transportation services and has a parent-teacher association. It houses a fully equipped library, a media center and a computer lab.
