Smith Cairns Subaru - Brewster

Took my Subaru in for an oil change and to fix a knob on the fold down seat.

Came back and had a $200 bill. They said my belts were worn and cracked and could fail at anytime. They had called me at home and said if they didn't hear from me they'd go ahead with the repairs. But- when I dropped off the car I told them to call on my cell. AND when the car was ready -they did call me on my cell. It was obvious they didn't want me to get the first message. They did the "repair" without my autorization.

But heres where I really catch them red-handed. Seven weeks proir they themselve had already replaced the belts during a major tune-up. I called them on it and they first said they didn't replace them. I told them to look up the bill and there it was, right on the old bill - both belts replaced. Avoid service and this place at all cost.
