Brevard High School and located in Brevard, N.C., offers classes in grades nine through 12. The school is affiliated with the Transylvania School County, and serves more than 700 students. Its curriculum includes language, literature, creative writing, journalism, algebra, geometry, statistics, organic chemistry, physics, biology, anatomy and physiology, history, psychology, sociology, economics, and world studies. It also offers health sciences, engineering, construction, and business technologies, and fine arts. The school s media center has over 16,000 books, videos, filmstrips and DVDs, and has more than 40 computers networked to the library. The school s council provides assistance in various school and community services, such as counseling sessions, and health care, and traffic programs. Brevard High School s sports activities include softball, soccer, baseball, golf, tennis, swimming, basketball, wrestling, football, volleyball, and track and field. The school also provides transportation and food services.
