Post-operative patients are the prime candidates for the AlterG Treadmill. Patients are strapped into the middle of it, with their feet enclosed in the pressurized case. By safely securing patients, they are able to use the weight-bearing treadmill freely, without pressure on their legs or the fear of falling off of it. The “sprain” occurs when the ankle rolls, twists, or turns awkwardly to the outer aspect of the ankle (i.e., lateral ankle sprain). This sudden stretch leads to partial or complete tearing of the ligaments supporting the ankle joint.

Manual Therapy
The Graston technique is another form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM). It is a type of manual therapy that incorporates special ergonomic tools that are used to gently massage and scrape parts of the skin. These stainless steel instruments are used to heal injuries to the soft tissues, such as sprains, strains, subluxations, and repetitive use injuries.

Achilles Tendonitis
Achilles tendonitis is commonly associated with an overuse-type injury or a repetitive stress injury. Tendinitis occurs when the tendons become inflamed, resulting in swelling and pain, especially with movement of the affected area.
Ankle Sprain
The severity of the injury will determine the degree of pain, inflammation, ability to move the joints, and the time frame for healing and recovery.
