Four Loving Paws Veterinary Services, Inc.

Ive lived in Brazil for 14yrs now, Ive tried every vet in this area, (3 exactly). In this time, w/ every single one, I always felt like we were a nuisance, they were mostly so unwelcoming, every one of the Doctor's would be in and out of the room w/in 5 mins, its like pulling teeth to get answers out of the Dr. or staff; being quite honest, it just feels like they hate their jobs. And if I can feel that negative energy, my pets can too...which baffles me bc why get into a profession like animal care if you don't have a passion for animals?! W/ ClearLake animal clinic they wanted to MUZZLE my dog strictly due to his size, I am NOT exaggerating! I can promise you IF I thought for a moment he would possible bite someone I-I-I-I would be the 1st to suggest a muzzle, its just the responsible thing to do; my dog is 140lbs BUT he is THEE SWEETEST dog in the world! He volunteers at a senior citizens home and in the summer we go to daycares for "Pet Day" and he's around 30-50 children from 3-6 yrs old, do you really think that's a dog that needs muzzled?? Anyway, I finally gave up and started driving back to Indianapolis (where I am from) just to get the care my pets deserve...until my gf told me about her new vet Dr. Shepherd at Four Loving Paws :) :) :) I don't know where to even begin w/ this place, the Dr. and the staff there, foremost and most importantly in my book, they LOVE WHAT THEY DO and it shows from the moment you walk in, and they literally treat you like your family, you WILL feel how genuine it is immediately! They are SO informative; one of the techs said "we can be the most educated in the world but if we don't teach you the information, we aren't doing our jobs, we see them twice a year but you take care of them everyday, so giving your animal the best possible care starts w/ educating the owner"!! I almost fell off my chair! And O-M-G, when you walk in, its like a beautiful high end SPA, it smells SO YUMMY, def not like the other places around here that seriously smell like urine..they have gourmet coffee's, all kinds of pastries (for us), I have never walked out w/out a treat given to my dog, oh AND they give them beautiful bandannas :) You will not want to leave, ha, I promise! My gf's dog ate a Barbie doll head, they were actually able to do xrays (that were digital so they were able to email them to us) and they even had ultrasound, so def up to date gadgets there! Probably the BEST part is the Vet!! He is so compassionate, so gentle, and heres the kicker, the Dr. got DOWN ON THE FLOOR w/ my cats, and he does it EVERY visit! He totally loves on and kisses my pets, he takes his time making sure your babies are comfortable, I'm NEVER rushed out, what vet in the world does this??!!! You'd think it would be expensive by looking at it and it absolutely is not, although I'd pay about any amt for this kind of care! If your pets are your world like mine are, you MUST try this place, you will never go anywhere else!! Maria Gespin

I would very highly recommend four loving paws. I took my 4 month old puppy there for her boosters and they were very good with her. Vets make her very nervous. They let her play with a toy and sat on the floor when they gave her the shots so she had no clue it was happening. She was very exited from all the attention that she received from them. Afterwards they gave my dog two dental chews and gave me some info on dog classes. They also gave me a free sample of shampoo and a little bottle of flea/tick/heart worm medication. This will be her permanent vet from now on.
