Dental Examination
X-rays
Like old-fashioned dental X-rays, digital dental X-rays are used by your dentist to take images of your mouth, including tooth structure and your jaw bones, by placing a small, carefully positioned sensor in your mouth that is connected to a computer. The dentist will reposition the sensor and take additional digital X-rays until all of your teeth have been X-rayed, providing your dentist with the ability to view color contrast in HD and check for bone density, among other benefits.

Teeth Cleaning
Caused from bacteria which eats away at tooth enamel, decay can affect existing fillings, causing them to become loose or fractured. If left ignored, bacteria can quickly spread close to the nerve and possibly result in more extensive treatment, such as an abscess or a root canal. If you are experiencing pain when you chew, swollen gums, or sensitivity to hot and cold, you should contact your dentist right away. Maintaining your routine six-month dental cleanings can help diagnose these issues quickly before they become problematic.

Fillings
Fractures or cracking teeth may occur from excessive teeth grinding or old amalgam fillings. Over time, amalgam fillings tend to expand causing the tooth structure to weaken. If the damage is minimal, your dentist may recommend a more secure restoration rather than a replacement filling, such as an inlay or onlay. You may be thinking, why not a crown? These inlay or onlay options offer a more conservative preparation to preserve your healthy tooth structure.
Resin Composite
Composite fillings are typically placed in one visit. The dentist will gently administer a local anesthetic to numb and desensitize the tooth to thoroughly clean out the bacteria and decay. Next a bonding agent will be applied, and a composite resin material will be place into the healthy tooth structure and sculpted to the anatomy of your tooth. Lastly a light it used to harden and bond the material creating an unrecognizable restoration.
Veneers
During your consultation, we will perform a series of digital x-rays, and photograph your smile and facial structure to determine if Veneers are the best option for you. Potential risks will be addressed as well as alternate treatment options to ensure you choose the best option for your smile.
Crowns

Bridges

Root Canal Treatment
In order for teeth to remain alive and healthy, each tooth is supplied by nerves and nutrients through a chamber called the root canal. As decay spreads downward and into a decayed tooth, the decay encroaches on the pulp chamber of that tooth, which contains the nerve. This is often what leads to a toothache. In order to remove all of the decay from the tooth, it is sometimes necessary to remove the nerve of the tooth entirely and replace the empty canal with a root canal filling.

Deep Cleaning
Periodontal (gum) disease progresses as the pocket between the tooth and gums gets irritated by plaque, bacteria, and calculus (tartar). As this debris collects, sometimes deep in the pocket of the tooth, it often becomes difficult for people to properly clean. Dentists and dental hygienists can perform a “deep cleaning,” or scaling and root planning, of these hard to reach areas to prevent the progression of the disease.

Dentures
Once a person’s teeth have been lost or decayed to the point that they are non-restorable, the best restorative option is sometimes a complete upper and lower denture. Dentures can restore a dentally compromised patient to a very aesthetically pleasing and functional result.

His clinical interests include maxillofacial trauma and reconstruction, obstructive sleep apnea and orthognathic surgery, and implant surgery.

Tooth Extractions
It’s best for the orthodontist to see children by age seven to advise if orthodontic treatment is required. The first permanent molars and incisors have usually come in by that time and crossbites, crowding, and other problems can be evaluated.
