Overall

My sister just moved to town and was looking for a new chiropractor to address a few pain related issues. We attended one of their community dinners, and while initially interested, we were extremely put off by the way the chiropractor addressed us as we were fact-checking a few of his statistical statements. Instead of simply asking if we could set our phones aside until after the presentation, he basically told us we could leave if we had more important things to do. When I informed him I was just checking on something he said (the decreased lifespan of today's youth, which turns out is increasing) he again quite rudely suggested that we leave, which we did happily.

Just for reference, here is one of the facts we were checking. He made a lot of claims in a short amount of time and we wanted to verify for the Q&A portion.

They keep removing my feedback from their facebook page because it's not a 5 star review, which is pretty telling for a business. I expect fact-based statements from a seminar like this, and I don't expect a rude response from the presenter when he learns that we're fact-checking his information. This is the digital age. Fact-checking and note-taking on a phone in a respectful way is 100% acceptable. A simple request for setting phones aside at the beginning of the presentation would've sufficed. I would suggest seeking your chiropractic care from a business that isn't trying to sell you supplements for your cancer, or who accurately represents their statistics and doesn't ask you to leave for fact-checking.
