AMERIGROUP Community Care Ohio participates in the Covered Families and Children (CFC) and the Aged, Blind and Disabled (ABD) programs of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS). Founded in 1994, AMERIGROUP Community Care is a publicly traded company that provides care services for financially disadvantaged individuals, senior citizens and people with disabilities through publicly funded programs. It works directly with state administrators and the federal government through the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) to provide individuals with access to health care options. The organization serves more than 1.7 million people throughout the United States. AMERIGROUP Community Care is certified by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) and Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC).
