Ear Surgery
Your otoplasty will be performed by Dr. Charles Boyd at our BOYD Birmingham, Michigan office. For your comfort, you will be given local anesthesia. Because every patient’s ears are different, Dr. Boyd will take a different approach for each individual otoplasty. To get a better idea of how he will perform your ear surgery, we encourage you to come in for your private consultation.
Otolaryngology
Board-certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Boyd is also a diplomat of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as well as a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.
Mohs Surgery
Dr. Boyd performs Mohs surgery with local anesthesia. This means you will be awake and alert during the procedure, but you will not feel any pain. The benefit of using local anesthesia is that it wears off within a few hours, and results in fewer side effects than general anesthesia. This permits patients to drive themselves home after their procedure.
Reconstructive Surgery
Board-certified by the highly elite American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Boyd is also a diplomate of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as well as a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Xeomin®, similar to popular injectable products like Botox®, uses the botulinum neurotoxin to relax the facial muscles that are responsible for creating and worsening wrinkles. Once these muscles are relaxed, the wrinkles will smooth out and leave you with a refreshed appearance. Otoplasty
Otoplasty is a surgical cosmetic procedure that involves shifting the position of the ear or changing the size of the ears to better complement the patient’s natural features.
Lip Augmentation
Your lip augmentation recovery will be fairly minimal. Most patients feel back to normal with one to three days of surgery and return to their normal daily activities, including work, within three to five days of their lip augmentation procedure. You may experience swelling, tenderness, and bruising around your mouth, however, this is normal and typically resolves on its own within a few days of treatment. While you will be able to see most results of your lip augmentation surgery immediately, ultimate results will be visible once all swelling subsides, about six to eight weeks following your procedure.
Laser Resurfacing
