This leading manufacturer of ultrasonic sensors offers many ways to detect a product, or process, without coming in contact with it. Hyde Park has been able develop a line of sensors, using sound waves to accomplish virtually anything normally done by proximity sensors or photo-electric sensors. Their advantage is, they can handle shiny or flat surfaces, any color, any texture, and they can do this in ranges up to 30 feet.
