        I used Mortgage America when I...

        I used Mortgage America when I purchased my home. They used a company, now called Corelogic, to determine if the home was in a flood zone. Corelogic determined the home was not in a flood zone. Two years later I found out the home was in a flood zone when I purchased it. It never crossed my mind that something like that could ever happen. . You trust that everyone involved in the home buying process are experts in their field. When all is said and done, guess who gets the shaft? The homebuyer. You end up with a short term solution for a long term mortgage.
