We attended a wedding there this past Summer and it was excellent! The ethnic meal was plentiful, hot, and yummy! Holupki (Gawampki), Roast Beef, Chicken, real mashed spuds, colorfully enticing salad, and more!

The service was genuine and attentive from service of servers to the bartender knowing how to make great drinks!

The place is clean, convenient to locate and access, and very, very value priced! The DJ and dance floor was hopping! Great atmosphere; prepare to leave full and satisfied!

The Polish Community Center is a big nice building to hold events. It is one of those organizations that has always been there for the Polish and Eastern European communities in Binghamton. WE had several events there- baptisms, anniversaries, been to many weddings and funeral brunches. With prices for weddings being as high as $125/plate --- honestly - who can afford to get married these days? The community center is an amazing deal. It's not the Doubletree/Hilton – It's a Community center like any church kitchen or vet hall that serves real mashed potatoes, real gravy, traditional Golombki - a regular meal for guests for a party. People, be ready to make your event how you like it to be... I like the space and have always had a good dinner there- no complaints here, especially for what I paid... and the hall rental is discounted/almost free if you are a member, membership is only $11. Well my wife and I just held our reception there. It seemed great until I walked into the door and saw Andrew eating appetizers I bought, then he quotes to the kids of the wedding party "Eat them they are good". Secondly our food was dreadfully cold, it was as if it was microwaved but not fully cooked. The halupki was a joke, they substituted canned corned beef for real beef, again it wasn't hot. When I walked away to perform my groom duties all food was taken from the head table before dinner was even finished. He also inflated the prices at the last minute, however if you go on their site they do not depict what he was stating. This is called price gouging as he raised open bar $4 and the dinner raising it as well. This is a joke as he even told us in the beginning that prices barely change and it has been several years.

Also workers were taking food out their cars that was left over that I paid for, this is highly unprofessional. Not to mention the AC unit was a joke as well. It remained 75 degrees in the building while people were dancing and eating. It was so hot I was drenched in my tux. This is wrong because everyone at the head table was drenched as well. This caused a great deal of discomfort as this was a poor act of professionalism. He would take the word of guests to 'supposedly' turn off the AC even though I personally went around and many of my guests were claiming it was brutally hot in there. I asked Andrew one last time saying I was in charge to keep the AC on. He had it on for maybe less than 10 minutes and shut it off.

I do not recommend this establishment for any party of function, they are crooks and highly unprofessional. I will be informing the better business bureau of their actions and also will blacklist them for the military as well. This place is highly unprofessional and do not care about the guests in the building.

Andrew will also indicate that the hall rental is free as long as you eat their food; which we did and we still had to pay hall rental fees which was utterly absurd. This place needs to be shut down, as I question the integrity of this establishment and the managerial support that is within. Look elsewhere you will have a better time.

Overall
Stress.

As long as Andre is in charge of the "even planning" I wouldn't recommend anyone to go trough the stress of what my finance and I had to deal with just weeks before our wedding reception. Yes the food is excellent but the lack of professionalism and communication outweighs that over and over again. A bride should not be in tears days before her wedding because the venue can't get their act together.
