While I have been going to Allen vet for years, I will no longer go there after my last visit. I left a positive review above, but wasn't able to change it.
My dog had an operation and I had concerns to talk over with the doctor related to the operation on the follow up visit that was supposed to be free. I was charged almost $100 for a follow up visit! The charge was a complete shock after i just pd $600 for the surgery. They claimed the problem was not related to the surgery so I would have to pay the exam fee. Shouldn't he have given me notice that he was about to perform an exam that wouldn't be free, like I was told? They also tried to guilt me into a barrage of other expensive tests, xrays and MRI. Dr. Loughlin made it sound like it could be any number of worse case scenarios and the testing was highly recommended. After seeing another vet, it was confirmed that the problem was a side effect of the anesthesia so they shouldn't have charged me. I'm glad I didn't get the $500 in tests. I haven't felt ripped off like that in a long time.
