Welders Supply Company

I was with praxair for years paying over $400.00 for a tall tank of high quality argon for our laser welder. Pete stopped in the store as a customer of mine and asked who was servicing our gas needs. He saved me over $200 per tank! Called back to praxair to see what was going on and they said they could match the price. I could feel my face getting warm from being so mad. They charged me over 200 more per month than anyone else. Sadly we paid it as I did not know better and trusted our salesperson when we started in business in 1988 that they would treat us right. NOT RIP US OFF for all the money they could. I asked for a 6 month credit for years of getting ripped off and she said no almost as fast as I asked. So now Welders supply gets our business and for the last two years has done an outstanding job. Quick delivery and stocks all the gas we require. Bought a plasma cutter from Pete and he gave me pricing comparable to ebay which I really found nice. Their online site is great. Welders supply saved me $2640 per year with the first tank of gas I purchased. A+++

Asked my supply person at the mill to order some welding helmets from this company. She said ok and called to place a $300+ order over the phone because she's not ok with entering company credit card information online. We go through this process multiple times a week and very rarely have issues placing order. Weldersupply has managed to screw up this order in every way possible short of sending the wrong item. The only reason it hasn't gotten that far is because we finally canceled after 3 weeks of poor customer service, bad attitudes, and inability to find someone at the company capable of getting a phone order shipped out. We've spoken with two ladies at the company that can't process a credit card, and had multiple messages left for a manager (Chris) that were never returned.
