Dr. Kishter completed his B.Sc. in Biology at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He received his D.D.S. from the University of Maryland, and his M.D. from the Albany Medical College in New York. After several years of training in general surgery, Dr. Kishter completed a Clinical and Research Fellowship in Surgical Oncology at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland, treating complex cancer cases and research focused on tumor immunology. He subsequently completed his residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Maryland.Pursuing interests in research, Dr. Kishter spent several years in the pharmaceutical industry as a Medical Director for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals in Madison, New Jersey, where he was responsible for the development and management of clinical trials. In addition to surgical practice, he is also active as a consultant to the pharmaceutical industry, in the area of drug development strategies and clinical study design.Dr. Kishters surgical interests include dental implants, dentoalveolar surgery, orthognathic surgery, facial trauma, and the treatment of medically compromised patients. He participates within the dental community as an active member of both national and regional surgery societies and dental study clubs. Dr. Kishter is attending staff at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital.
