The 18-hole "Pines" course at the Colonial Pines Golf Club facility in Bethel, Ohio features all the hallmarks of golf. Designed by Robert Taylor, the Pines golf course opened in 2002. Situated on 127 acres of beautiful terrain bordering Big Indian Creek, Colonial Pines was formerly a Horse farm for training Olympic jumping horses. If the circumstances are nice, you could be fortunate enough to score an albatross or at least a couple of eagles. We are a great course for senior golfers. A typical senior golfer, playing the blue tees, can reach our Par 4 and Par 5's in regulation, and you will develop a love/hate relationship with our very interesting Par 3's. All Golfers will love our concrete cart-paths that actually take you near where you want to go. Due to good drainage, we are frequently "off the path" when others courses aren't, and we allow all customers to bring their carts closer to our greens than most courses do. Our general rule is to keep the carts approximately 10 yards from the green and parked in a spot that is not a frequently played area. For you big-hitting scratch golfers, who think our 5966 yard black-tee course will not be challenging enough, you should know that three of our four Par 3's are 200+ yards and two of those three have carry over water. Our 6 lakes (Total of 11 acres of water!) come into play in front of greens, behind greens and beside some fairways, and the tall-tree thickets, the high-heather mounds and the deep grass bunkers will make you think about risk/reward on our Par 4's and Par 5's. Our greens have varied sizes, shapes and slants. If you can bend the ball in both directions, you will get your chances. We think every golfer will enjoy the challenge, no matter what your age or ability level! We allow our guests to bring their "beverage of choice" and our Clubhouse offers hot food and snacks when you "make the turn".
