The CDC has determined that concussion is a high priority public health initiative, due to high prevalence and potentially serious long-term consequences that may arise from incomplete recovery and improper management. Physical therapists, regardless of specialty (sports, orthopedics, neurology, geriatrics, pediatrics, federal, acute care, etc.) are likely to be consulted in the evaluation and treatment of individuals with cervical, vestibular, oculomotor and return to activity needs following a concussion. This course will provide physical therapists with evaluation and treatment skills that will assist them with managing this challenging population.
“The TAI Orthopedic Residency Program was incredibly beneficial for the development of my manual skills, proficiency, and more importantly my clinical reasoning skills in patient care. I feel the education from the program has allowed me to better care for my patients, adequately screen for the need of referrals, and utilize current best-evidence interventions in the field of orthopedics. I would highly recommend the program to any clinician looking to develop their orthopedic expertise.”

Occupational Therapy
Northwest Rehab Alliance (NWRA) is a network of private practice physical therapy providers throughout Oregon and Washington. NWRA was formed from the merger of two successful and experienced Independent Practice Associations – Northwest Therapy Alliance Corp. (NTAC) in Oregon and Rehab Alliance in Washington. As a combined network, NWRA is able to provide more extensive access under one contract for regional managed care companies and multi-state, self-insured employers. Our network serves the majority of Oregon and Washington with access to high-quality outpatient rehabilitation services. We currently have over 260 locations serving the vast majority of the populace in the two-state region. Most of our clinics provide physical therapy and/or occupational therapy services.
