Stoma's Furniture

Went to Stoma's in July of last year expecting to get helpful advice on our furniture purchase. I had done online research on the products I wanted for our home office. The sales lady (that's the moniker she deserves) was all talk and no help. She was supposed to be one of the store's "designers". I had to practically give her the list of all the pieces we wanted to purchase. I was so excited that we were redecorating and I asked for her help by coming to my house to assist with selections. She never made any effort to make an appointment with me and never came on delivery days of furniture as she had promised. She was a wash out. She didn't ever call to see how we like our furniture. It really irritated me because of the lack of customer service she showed. The only person who truly helpful at Stoma's was the Customer Service/Finance Rep. She was a doll and helped me through even when a torn, floor model leather chair was delivered to me instead of a new one for which we had paid. The "sales lady" should have checked quality control and done her job. I have serious doubts about giving Stoma's my business again. Ridiculous.

BEAUTIFUL FURNITURE, FRIENDLY PEOPLE. Don't waste your time going anywhere else. Their design consultant helped me finish my entire living room-- it looks fabulous! LOVE STOMA'S!!!

WE PURCHASED OVER $14,785.00 FURNITURE IN FEB. 2005. SO FAR, THE COVER ON THE CENY SETTEE IS COMING APART IN THE SEAMS IN AT LEAST 2 PLACES. THIS SETTE COST US OVER $700. I CALLED THE STORE AND ASKED IF THEY REPAIRED SUCH POOR WORKMANSHIP, AND THEY SAID I HAD TO FIND AN UPHOLSTERER IN BATON ROUGE AT A COST OF OUR OWN. THEY DID NOT PAY FOR REPAIR EVEN THOUGH IT WAS RATHER NEW AND HARDLY EVER USED. THE 2 PILLOWS I HAD MADE FOR THE SOFA WERE MADE OF SPECIAL FABRIC WITH SPECIAL CORD AND FRINGE. THEY ARE CROOKED AND CAN ONLY BE USED ON ONE SIDE EVEN THOUGH THE PICTURE IS ON BOTH. THE FRINGE IS TOO TIGHT AND HAS SLIPPED TO THE FRONT, SO THE BACK IS WORTHLESS. THEY COST A SMALL FORTUNE ALSO. LAST NIGHT MY DAUGHTER WENT TO MOVE THE OTTOMAN THAT WAS MADE TO MATCH A CHAIR ($1,980) AND ONE LEG FELL OFF. IT HAD BEEN HELD ON WITH A SCREW THAT WAS STRIPPED AND DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING TO HOLD IT ONTO THE OTTOMAN! IT SEEMS, STOMA'S DOESN'T CARE AFTER THEY GET THEIR MONEY. YOU PAY A FORTUNE, IT FALLS APART, YOU CALL TO SEE WHAT THEY CAN DO, AND THEY TELL YOU IT IS NOT THEIR PROBLEM. I COULD HAVE RECOMMENDED THEM TO QUITE A FEW OF MY FRIENDS, BUT I ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT AND I TELL MY FRIENDS AND ANYONE THAT ASKS, NOT TO GO THERE BECAUSE THEY WILL CHARGE HIGH PRICES FOR HORRIBLE QUALITY FURNITURE AND FABRIC.
