Pep Boys

Very poor service. Took my car here for a/c work they quoted a price over $2000.00 I had them replace what seemed to be the most critical part for $280.00 six hours later after poor very poor service a/c working worse than before. Took the car straight to another shop $32.00 Pepboys had overcharged my a/c system and I didn't need the parts they qouted me for over $2000.00. I'm only giving one star cause I can't give negative stars. .

I took my truck to have step bars installed which I purchased there. They could not install it that day which was a Friday, I was told to come back the following Monday @ 9am. Monday I told the clerk I was there to have the bars installed & I had a 9am appt. He told me there was no way he could do that, did not have enough people. I told him that was not my problem. At that time I saw the cart with my bar box near by & I gave him the piece of paper the manager had filled out stating my 9am appt. He talked to the manager & the manager said he would installed them. He did that & I left. When I arrived home, I noticed the center piece was not correct & I returned to the store & showed him & he said he would correct it. He did but I could tell he was not happy with me. I left the store at that point. I had been there for a total of 3&1/2 hrs. And the worst part is they are not installed as they should be. This store is a case of utter chaos, I will go back to the store & show the faults. I could do it myself , but if something breaks , they will me I should have taken it back to them. I hate to go back , but I have no alternative. BJ

We took our car here twice. The first time they told us the "mechanic was out". Tried again. Mechanic out. Why are you open if your mechanic is out?? The "second time" was after we sat there for an hour just to check our vehicle in. They would call every other day to tell us the vehicle is ready. By the time we arrived, however, they would say the car was nowhere near finished and said we were mistaken.

Took a week and the car still wasn't finished--they decided oops they couldn't do the electrical board (should have told us that to begin with, jerks).

Gary at the service desk went above and beyond to help me with my car. Went in for oil change, but I asked Gary if he could look at my wiper spraier and see if they could fix it. They normally don't but did what they could. We found out it was an easy fix. A cap was missing.
Saved me a trip to a dealer and money!
