KPS, a leading provider of contract security officers to commercial organizations and the federal government, strives to exceed client expectations through excellent customer service, quality assurance measures, and continuous employee training and support programs. Integrity and fairness are essential to the manner in which we conduct business. KPS is a large, high quality provider of security guards to government agencies and commercial organizations. Approximately 90% of our contracts are with federal government agencies. With revenues in excess of $50 million and currently employing more than 1850 security officers, KPS serves multiple locations throughout the eastern, Midwestern and southern U.S. The largest concentration of our forces is in the national capital area. Sound Management Practices: Our Project Managers and Site Supervisors have been responsible for the direction of many high visibility security operations for the federal government and their supervision has been deemed commendable. KPS management has proven expertise in initiating large security projects under tight deadlines and in multiple remote locations Strong Past Performance Record: KPS has received high performance ratings from the Contracting Officers of the projects which we have served, most of whom we continue to serve. We will gladly provide a list of references to potential clients In-House Training: Our formal guard training program meets the requirements of, and is accredited by, the General Services Administration, the States of Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and the District of Columbia. KPS tailors specific guard procedures to each contract and incorporates them into General Orders and Post Orders. Basic training topics include blood borne pathogens, violence prevention in the workplace, report preparation, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. In addition, KPS pro- actively requires Diversity and Sensitivity Training, reinforcing our standard that officers conduct themselves in a professional and diplomatic manner toward all persons they encounter in the course of their duties. Our instructors meet the American Red Cross and the National Rifle Association training certification requirements Superior Employee Qualifications: The majorities of KPS officers hold security clearances processed by the Department of Defense and are qualified as security guards in accordance with requirements of the General Services Administration. All individuals are licensed and screened by one or more of the local security guard licensing authorities. Our medical examination standards, psychological testing, and alcohol and drug enforcement testing assure that all employees will be in fit physical condition and drug free Innovative Quality Control Measures: Detailed procedures for inspections and monitoring security officer performance have been tested over time, with resulting improvements in quality control. We are always thinking of new ways to improve our service Financial stability: Our ability to provide all materials necessary to start up a large project on short notice is due in large part to our financial capability and credit worthiness Ready Resources: We have teamed with the vendors who supply our uniforms, weapons, and equipment for many years and we can assure efficient and timely delivery of all items required by our contracted projects. Low Turnover: KPS has averaged less than a 5% turnover rate in the past year due in large part to our employee benefits programs and to the fair and equitable treatment of officers in matters of promotion and discipline
