Founded in 1928, Barber Brothers Contracting Co. L.L.C. specializes in street and highway construction. Based at Baton Rouge, La., the company operates four asphalt plants; 4 concrete plants; a sand and gravel pit; a concrete crushing plant; and a concrete casting plant for manholes and catch basins. It has memberships with organizations, such as the Associated Builders and Contractors, Louisiana Asphalt Pavement Association and Safety, as well as Occupational Health Council. The concrete casting plant of the company produces custom pre-cast concrete catch basins, as well as manholes and is certified by the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development. It offers a wide range of crews, including asphalt paving, clearing, concrete paving, curb, earthwork and many more.
