I used Abernathy for 2 of my vehicle repairs and they have always done very good work. The clear coat on one my repaired vehicles was chipping in 2 places on the bumpter so I returned for a resolution. They painted the bumper for no charge based on the warranty. That was great...but when I picked it up there was a crack in the bumper that was very visible. The shop said they saw it but didn't repair it. I would have preferred the option of paying for the repair, but wasn't consulted, prior to painting. I question the quality of this business. A simple call to ask me if I wanted to pay for the repair should have occurred. I cannot recommend this body shop and will never return.

Overall

I have had a number of minor and major repairs,

unfortunately. All were repaired perfectly and I didn't bother to price shop. Didn't need to. Abernathy's has ALWAYS done excellent work and in record time. You want the best work...go to Abernathy's. You want the best price, good luck.

I took my car there after a lady rear ended me.. I heard good reviews. They did horrible work to my car. I had a body kit on the car, he said he couldnt find a body kit for my rear bumper that was the same or even similar to the rest of the pieces on my car so he just decided to put a regular bumper on my car. He charged me for sending back pieces that he ordered for my car but that he didnt like so he was sending it back. But I had to pay for it. Then, when she hit me in the back, her car hit my muffler and bent it down. When I got my estimate, they put it in there to fix my muffler because it was bent down and messed it up. I went to go pick my car up after they called and said it was ready and I noticed that they didnt touch the muffler. When I asked about it, the guy said that he tried to move it with his hand and it didnt move. So he decided that he wasnt going to fix it saying nothing is wrong with it. Now when I pull into a drive or backing out, it scrapes every time. Now I will have to take my car somewhere else and have it fixed out of pocket. They are very screwy at that place and I would NEVER recommend anyone to go there. Very bad service!! And they leave your car outside overnight to where anyone can mess with it, with no fence around.

On January 16th we dropped out Honda Odyssey van off at Dan Abernathies Custom Center in Bartlett

to repair a fender.

When we picked up our van on Feb 2nd, we found that one of the captain's chairs was laying

in a completely closed position. We couldn't get it upright to put the booster seat back in.

The section of the 3rd row seat directly behind the broken seat was down also....my first impression was

something of substantial size had been hauled in the van.

The receptionist Dana ( very nice lady BTW) called Dan who in turn asked to talk to my wife. (we still hadn't left the parking lot of the shop) He told my wife he distinctly remembered all the seats being upright a few days before , but he

told her to take it to Wolfchase Honda and he would pay to have it fixed...which we did.

He called the next day to say it would be $500 to fix it but he wasn't going to pay to have it repaired, because to him it was "normal wear and tear" but they did get the seat upright and we could come to his shop to get it.

When I went to his shop to pick up the seat and discuss the situation, he said it was still at the Honda dealership.

When I told him that everything had been functional when we dropped the van off, he insisted that they had done nothing to break the seat. I then pointed out that only he and his employees were the only ones that had access to the van , he became visibly upset and started cursing me , saying "I'm not going to fix your f&$%ing seat, I paid Wolfchase to get the seat back up because that's the position it was in when I got the van!"

Needless to say... I felt it was better to leave at this point before things escalated any more.

I went to the dealership and picked up my seat, where I was told that, in fact, there was no charge and Mr. Abernathy had not been charged nor paid anything.
