This store just changed to Advanced Auto
I took my 4.0l jeep head and block to them.
The head was said to be in great shape and would not cost more than $175, but when I picked it up the price was $225.
They had the block also and I was quoted $785 for the machining plus $250 for .30 over pistons. When I picked up the block the bill was $1145, which is $110 more than it should have been. The shop also did work that I did not authorize and they decided not to charge me for it. The last thing was I had stated in writing and verbally several times that I want all the old pistons back, when I showed up to pick them up after I called and they could not be found. I stopped by again three days later and I was handed a box with six pistons in it, I assumed they were all mine and not wanting to stay there and get into a shouting match I left when I got home I laid out the pistons only to find out that there are three different kinds in the box.
Long story short, it would be in everyone's best interest to find another shop.
