Pleasant Gardens assisted living is the best place for my sister.
The house is organized and well managed and the residents are clean and well fed. The caregivers who work in this home love the residents, protect their privacy, ensure their independence and spend time with them. The staff are well trained, certified and pass a background check before being hired, which really puts my mind at ease because the last assisted living my sister was in had none of this. There are always one or two staff on duty at all times and the manager visits often to check on the staff, the residents and the house (the manager knows all the residents’ names and histories). The house is clean and in good repair at all times—or the staff maintenance man fixes things within 24 hours. I was invited to a holiday feast and I know the food is good (the staff eats with the residents) and there is lots of it. My sister loves to read and she always has books.

Pleasant Gardens assisted living is not a place for Mom not Dad.
As a former employee I advise people not to put their family members in this facility. They are unorganized with the staff and the residents that resided there. Most of the nurses that have worked in this facility do not care about the residents, they leave the residents soak in urine and their bowels,as well as,they shows up under the influence of drugs and alcohol.Past residents family members have even found the employee intoxicated. No background checks are perform to work in the facility during the initial three day trial period. So your family lives could be at risk .By this I mean anywhere from a sex offender to a killer . An to top it off this facility doesnt follow the proper procedures nor guidelines that a assisted living facility should be following ,many rules are being broken as we speak.Residents bedframes are broken proper paper work aren't being filed in the correct patterns.Your families are highly at risk for personal information to be leaked out,an highly at risk to falls because of the shortage of staff members. That are being fired by Lana Meyers (owner) she has no common sense and knowledge of residents that lives there. She hires and fires new employees even when she has no knowledge of the circumstances or situation,no investigation is performed .She can fired you just because she dislikes you base on appearance all the way to your work ethics. People I advise you to reevaluate pleasant garden assisted living for the safety and well being of your family members that could be potential residents. Not to mention the staff works long hours per day with no rest and are under pay for for their hard work $350 per week which is 1,400 per month for a cna/Gna .You will only last two weeks possibly three weeks, if they are desperate don't get comfortable thinking you will last very long. So keep looking for another job it is a waste of time
