General Info
Our Learn-to-Swim, -Skating, and other structured sport activities are all alternative indoor school-based "Fun-Fitness Learning" programs designed to reduce childhood obesity through enhanced physical education. Once a week, students ages 4 to 13 (pre-K to 8), spend one hour learning to swim, skate, play soccer and softball at one of two indoor heated pool facilities, skating rink, and arena, managed by Baltimore City Recreation and Parks, and the newly renovated Shake and Bake Family Fun Center, as part of their physical education experience. Our school-day "Fitness Learning Programs" introduce and integrate swimming, skating, softball and soccer as a FUN-Fitness choice that builds Interest, Confidence, Safety and Skill Development, while Reducing Childhood Obesity in support of the First Lady Michelle Obama's "Let's Move" campaign. Our structure fitness programs offer flexible scheduling options and terms, with FREE school bus transportation, for easy transition into a variety of academic curriculums.
