Great Clips

When I started working in this salon back in September 2006, the salon had a low customer count and a bad reputation. The team I worked with worked hard to rebuild the salon's reputation by offering good customer service and making our customers feel comfortable, welcome and a vital part of our Great Clips family. This in turn improved the reputation and the customer count began to grow. We were so excited! However in October 2011 our owner decided to sell his salon, at which time I was excited to start a new adventure with new owners. The sad news was the new owners didn't want to keep our team together. This is when I realized some people just weren't cut out to be part of a team. They were only concerned about themselves and how they could move up ladder, no matter who they had to knock down along the way. The shock of this news to the "true team" was unbelievable. Once the shock settled, the greif started. Not only had we lost clients, we lost family. As customers tried and some succeeded in reaching us, they were upset to be informed that the new Great Clips felt it was not okay to give out our personal information in order to reach us. Months have passed and I still hear from past customers. However to my surprise now I'm told about how the manager tells them VERY untrue things "my team" has done! I wonder why my contact information was too personal to give out but the untruths are not? Wondering why this unprofessionalism is taking place, I contacted people I thought would want to know how their salon was being received. They didn't seem to care about the continuing defamation to me and my team. I was told “the head count was up".
