Founded in 1927, the Maryland Commission on Human Relations offers employment services and receives funding from the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. It provides educational, outreach and human relation services. The commission s case processing division provides investigative, mediation and processing services for complaints related to housing, public accommodations and employment. The Maryland Commission on Human Relations conducts investigations, interviews, on-site visits and conferences. It has a staff of attorneys who listen to hearings and judicial proceedings before state and federal courts. The commission also provides online information related to travel and tourism, transportation, business, health and government agencies. The Maryland Commission on Human Relations maintains one of its locations in Baltimore.
