Charm City Appliance

This business deserves a 0. Do not do business with them. My fridge broke 3 times within two months of delivery. The first time they fixed it no problem, the second time I waited all day for them to come out to fix it and they never showed despite my calling several times to ensure they were in fact coming. They came out the next day and fixed it, but it broke again 2 weeks later. Again they no showed when they were supposed to come fix. They then agreed to replace the fridge since it had broken 3 times already. They no showed to deliver the fridge despite my calling twice during the day to check that they were coming and was told it was scheduled to be delivered the following day. Nevermind the fact that I had taken the day off from work to wait for them today. I have now wasted 7 days sitting at my house waiting for these people to show up.

A friend recommended Charm City Appliance to me, so a few days ago I checked out and purchased a refrigerator for my upstairs apartment. I'm very pleased. The price was excellent, and the refrigerator seems great: quiet, is totally clean, and is fairly new. It wasn't easy getting it upstairs, but they did that cheerfully and well. If you need a new appliance and don't want to pay the new price, I think they are a good option.

At first, I must admit, the place looked sketchy as can be but the guy greeted us right away and spent time helping us pick out a fridge and stove. I paid cash, still a little skeptical, and scheduled to have it delivered the next day. Low and behold - they showed up ON TIME and really went above and beyond getting my old appliances out (had to take the back door off as well as the doors on the old fridge). He stayed to set the oven clock, checked everything with us and showed us how to work everything in the range. We saved a ton of money and everything seems good so far. Per the last review - I can't say anything about their follow up on repairs and I hope I don't have to. Right now, I'm happy I didn't judge the book by its cover and would go back for more appliances ... I will just make sure that I inspect them before I commit.

This place has been nothing but trouble. They never showed up for the original appointment. So I had to call them and ask why they didn't come and the guy couldn't even answer me, and barely could understand me. He didn't sound like he spoke English. I told them I'd call back in a few days to make another appointment so I did and it was the same guy and he was incredibly rude from the time he answered the phone. I told him I needed him to come either tomorrow or the next day and he said it wasn't possible. Then after I explained to him that they never showed up to fix my washing machine (that we haven't been able to use for two weeks now.) so then he said he'd be there the next day "sometime after 2" which is what they said the time before when they never came. I can't take off work all day to sit around from 2pm until 8pm waiting for someone who may not show up. So he said they can't give a definite time (why?) and to call back the next day. So I did and they said to call back Friday. WORST BUSINESS.
