Lake County Animal Shelter

I have called Lake County Animal Control 5 times about a dog in the area that is pretty much abandoned. They have never called back nor have they came out to check on the dog. I live in Irons, and Baldwin is NOT far at all.



Today, this dog was attacked by another animal. It is bleeding and will not come to me for help. It just keeps running, but comes back around after I leave. It is scared and hurt and once again, NO ANSWER at animal control. I am doubting they will call me back.



This is a disgrace to taxpayers like myself and animal lovers everywhere. What exactly are these people doing? They can't return a phone call? Mind you... I have called on 5 different occasions, never to be called back. Oh... and there is NEVER an answer when you call.



These people are yet another reason why so many people feel they can harm an animal...there isn't anyone who will come and protect the animal. It is a shame.
