Fish, Emily, PA

Dr. Schopler and his PA Emily Fish and his staff weren't professional from what I could tell they didn't care about my well being as a patient. I didn't have a good experience with Dr. Schopler or is PA Emily Fish. I went to see them both for back issues. I had my past medical information faxed to them for my first meeting a staff member wanted to get me to take an x-ray I wanted to talk to the doctor first to see if it was necessary. I heard the staff member growl as she left the room. I called her growly growlertin and she was offended. I then heard her say that she was going to get fired today because of me through the door. months later I found that this employee told staff that I said a F bomb to save her job which was not true in any manor. It takes forever to get an appointment from them and the treatment I received was substandard. After an MRI I had a to make another appointment to see the PA 6 weeks to get a reading while in pain. Then after seeing the PA I had to wait another 6 weeks to see the doctor to be told that I couldn't be helped here in Bakersfield and that I would need to go to USC or the Scribb's clinic in San Diego. Good to know..., but a simple phone call could have told me that 12 weeks earlier and I could have used those 12 weeks with my max out of pocket already met. So then a yesterday I received a bill for 40 dollars from SCOI and Dr. Schoplers office when I paid my 40 at the desk upon arrival. I have the receipt to prove I paid and the check when they reimbursed me. Not only did I pay the 40 my max out of pocket has been met. There should be no charge for this level of service.



Well Besides all the above mentioned our appointment felt rushed because he was in a hurry because he was behind from another patient soaking his time up and it was lunch time. It felt like he was nodding his head yes and agreeing with me just so I would shut up and he could move on to the next patient..
