Pediatric Care
Dr. Nimeh’s externships prepared her to meet the needs of a variety of patients. These experiences involved cataract care and evaluation, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and primary care. She trained with a retinal specialist at the Chicksaw Nation Medical Center in Oklahoma. She spent time caring for the ocular health of veterans in the VA Heath care System and worked with ophthalmologist in a cataract surgery center. She also completed a pediatrics rotation which focused on evaluating binocular dysfunction in school-aged children. This included conducting vision therapy sessions with children who suffer from binocular vision issues when eyes don’t work well together. Dr. Nimeh is a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and is a Board- Certified Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. She is a member of the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
