Overall
THE BEST CHINESE IN THE PHOENIX AREA

This restaurant is very close to where I live and it took me a few months to try it after it opened because it is rather "hidden". It is in the shopping center with Fresh and Easy and I am so glad that I just happened to stop in for lunch one day. First, the decor is very pretty and rather upscale which was a pleasant surprise. Let's get to the food, which is what we are talking about. I have tried Chinese in Scottsdale, Chandler, and Phoenix and this is by far the best I have had, hands down. A close tie would be the Golden Buddah in the Chinese cultural area downtown. The presentation is very nice, portions are very generous. Try the muchu pork, the chicken with snow peas, or the egg foo yung which is loaded with vegetables and a wonderful sauce. They have an eggplant dish which is very good, but you must like spicy foods for this one. The hot and sour soup is worth the trip itself.

I am not a duck eater, so I wish the other person giving the review would have tried something else....although I do know from past experience that duck tends to have a lot of fat and rather greasy, that's why i am not a fan of it anywhere.

run save your money

i took my family there for the first time and i order the Peking duck and it was the most expensive item on their menu at 24 dollars now normally i would never pay that much but i had not had duck in about 10 years and so i figured why not, when they brought the plate and it was about 1/3 lb of meat and 3 lbs of skin and fat there was no duck meat with out fat attached to it , i know duck is an extremely fatty bird but out of a whole duck there should be at least some pieces of meat at doesn't have fat attached. when i polity asked the waitress about the duck she said that that was indeed a whole duck and i replied that being from the mid west a up until i moved out to Arizona hunted duck every year to which she replied that Arizona ducks must be smaller that mid west ducks !!!!! then told me next time i should order something else and i told her there will not be a next time. on the bright side the 10-12 decent bites of duck that i paid 24.00 for was pretty good.
