Yellow Cab

When you need to be somewhere on time, don't call Yellow Cab! I needed to go to the airport from Lakeway to catch a flight. I booked a taxi online 24 hours in advance and got a confirmation number. The time came for the taxi to arrive but no taxi. Ten minutes later, I phoned Yellow Cab and was told, "there are no drivers in your area at the moment." What? Why did I bother booking 24 hours in advance? I scrambled to find a friend to drive me. 35 minutes late, a driver called to tell me he was nearby and I told him I was already on my way.



When you need to be somewhere on time, don't bother calling Yellow Cab!

After calling for a pick-up we were told it would be a 5-10 minute wait. After about 15 minutes and no taxi we called again. We ended up calling 6 times until we hailed another taxi company (Austin Cab). Yellow Cab has never been reliable for us. No matter how far in advance we call and no matter how nice we are, we haven't been treated with courtesy. It's okay if they are too busy, but it would have been nice if they were honest. I'm going to just start making appointments randomly but have no intention of using them. Even if it works one time, it'll be worth it.

First of all I am not from here, I am just visiting I called yellow cab a 7:45am to request a cab to the airport at 8:30 am , I thought 45 minutes is enough time to have a cab here, at 8:45 am no body shows up!!!! No calls nothing! I started to worry I called yellow back they said " WE DO CAN NOT ASSURE THAT CAB WOULD BE AT YOUR PLACE, MY JOB IS TO PUT YOUR INFO ON DISPATCH PC SYSTEM, HOPPiNG A DRIVER WOULD ACCEPT IT AND COME TO GET YOU! " oooooooooh seriously so. I am at the drivers's Mercy !,,,,,!, yellow cab is nothing but a bunch idiots!! Running a shiiiity biz! She hanged up on me! I went to yellow book to look for a faster alternative taxi cab savor, 9:00 am already and my flight at 10:25 am, I find North Austin Taxi Service Because they were very busy a shift manager in person answered my phone, In a very professional way and told me the taxi would be there in 5-10 minutes, I said you sure, he said positive, you just have to cancel your previous order with yellow cab if you want us to carry on with this order, I said please, 9 minutes later I get a call from yellow cab telling me your cab is here. At the same time North Austin Taxi driver calling, both are down stars now! I ignored yellow cab and just walked street to a white cab marked North Austin Services, they saved my trip otherwise my next flight would have been 6 hours after the missed one, Thanks a lot to all North Austin team they are the BEST!!!!!!!! %300/%100 I would add stars if I could, I never tipped a driver $ 30 in my entire life, the most I usually give out is $8 bucks, I believe these people deserve a thumbs up, yellowcab took them 2:05 minutes to get to me, theses folks took them less than 10 minutes plus their system is mess up,!

Round Rock Yellow Cab has the worst customer service I've had to deal with in a long time. The dispatchers are rude, and 9 times out of 10, send their cabs to the wrong location. They're lucky they don't really have any compitition in this neck of Austin.

I work at a hotel as a front desk clerk. A cab driver from Yellow arrived at 5:AM to pick up a fare; the cab driver informed me that he was here to pick up "Dan", and wanted me to let "Dan" know that he was here. I informed the cab driver that the hotel is sold out tonight, and that if a guest called him from his mobile phone, how would the front desk know about the transaction. The cab driver became irate, and was verbally abusive towards me, and relentlessly yelling at me, for about 1/2 hour. At about 5:30, a gentlemen arrived stating that he called for a cab, and that his name was "RODNEY!!!!!!!". And the two left together. After they left, I contacted the cab company, and no one wanted to be bothered, or cared. Just a heads up from someone IN THE SERVICE INDUSTRY. Do everything in your power, to not use this cab company.

As gas keeps going up so are the prices of private transportation. I have a reasonable remedy.... hire someone with a high economy car. I offer a clean ride in a 2008 Kia Rio, the windows are well tinted to shade you from all UV that the sun may have to offer on a hot Texas day! I also have GPS, plus the fact that i am from Austin so I am very familiar with the area. I'm available for reservation/ pick you up from selected locations at any time of the day (after 11pm or before 7am requires reservation) otherwise call me as needed and i will be there in a timely manner. I have pleanty of room for luggage and can comfortably sit two people, plus offer reliabilty and a piece of mind in these times of needing to save a few bucks. Always unreliable. Waited over an hour and when I called back, they kept saying to call back in 10 minutes. Terrible customer service.
